Worship Services with Enhanced Precautio

NEWS COVID-19

Our church leaders met to discuss the strategic plan to reopen to our church for worship services with enhanced precautions, although we have not finalized the date to return. Our goal is to implement an inclusive hybrid approach, meaning  our members will have the option to worship in person and virtually online. Families will be required to register their attendance for all face-to-face services. There will not be face-to-face Sunday school classes nor in-person meetings of any ministry.  However, each ministry is encouraged to connect using telephone or web conferencing tools such as Zoom. (The church does have a Zoom account.)

Again, we're looking forward to worshipping in our church building as soon as we can.  We have formed a committee to assist in careful and thoughtful planning for reopening and here are some of the CDC guidelines we have chosen to follow.  These plans are subject to change based on the latest information of COVID-19.

  1. Face mask is strictly enforced.  "Please do not remove your face mask at any point during service."

  2. Please adhere to the CDC recommended 6 feet social distancing guidelines while you are in the building or on church grounds.  Also, unless you need to go to bathroom, once you've been seated, please stay seated until the end of service.

  3. Enter the building through the main entrance.  All congregation members, visitors, and staff will be screened for temperature upon arrival and asked to use hand sanitizer.

  4. To help create a contact free environment, all entrance and exit doors will be propped open and manned by the hospitality members.

  5. Seating in the sanctuary will be spaced apart.  Families who live in the same household should sit together, including all children.

  6. Seats in the fellowship hall will be spaced for overflow.

  7. The kitchen will be closed until further notice.

  8. Please have tithes and Offering ready upon entrance to sanctuary.  We will have collection boxes available.

  9. Please drop your Tithes and Offerings in one of the collection boxes inside the sanctuary.  Please ask for an envelope before sitting.  The ushers will assist you once you have been seated, if needed.

  10. Online giving will continue to be available.

  11. Church announcements will be on the projector screen and available  online via website and emails.

  12. Following service rows will be dismissed in an orderly fashion by the ushers.

  13. Persons in the vulnerable category of 65 and older or those who live with individuals who fit into this category who have significant pre-existing conditions are encouraged to remain home and take advantage of online worship experiences.
